Boston, MA (January 16, 2026) – A major crash involving multiple vehicles on the southbound side of the Southeast Expressway left several people seriously injured on Thursday afternoon, according to Massachusetts State Police.
The collision occurred around 3:30 p.m. near Exit 15 and initially sparked concern that one individual had died. However, state police later confirmed the victim was alive but suffered serious injuries. Boston Fire Department and EMS crews responded quickly to the scene. Aerial footage captured two black SUVs with significant damage, one with major front-end impact and visible fluid leakage, and the other with heavy rear-end damage surrounded by debris.
