Bowling Green, KY (September 1, 2025) – A deadly two-vehicle collision on Interstate 65 in Warren County left one person dead and another critically injured on Saturday evening. Kentucky State Police (KSP) confirmed the head-on crash occurred near mile marker 15.
Emergency dispatch initially received reports of a vehicle entrapment, and when fire crews arrived, they discovered one of the vehicles involved had caught fire. The Warren County Fire Department confirmed that responders worked to extinguish the flames and free the trapped occupant.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Another individual was airlifted to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of severe injuries. Their current condition has not yet been released.
Traffic in the northbound lanes of I-65 came to a standstill after the crash, with closures lasting into the evening. As of 8:00 PM, northbound lanes near mile marker 15 remained closed while investigators and cleanup crews worked the scene.
Multiple agencies responded, including Alvaton, Plano, and Bowling Green Fire Departments, along with KSP and emergency medical services. The official cause of the collision has not yet been determined.
