Brevard County, FL (January 17, 2026) – A hit-and-run collision involving injuries and a lane blockage was reported early Saturday morning, January 17, on I-95 northbound at mile marker 185 in the Melbourne area.

The crash occurred at approximately 4:41 a.m. and resulted in the center lane being blocked, according to official traffic incident reports. Emergency crews responded to the scene and provided aid to at least one injured individual. The fleeing driver had left the scene before authorities arrived.
