Bridgeport, CT (January 16, 2026) – Thirteen people, including ten children, were hospitalized following a crash involving a school bus and a passenger vehicle on the morning of January 15 in Bridgeport. The collision occurred around 9 a.m. at the intersection of East Main Street and Arctic Street.
According to city officials, the school bus was carrying eight children and two adults at the time of the crash. The other vehicle involved contained one adult and two children. All 13 individuals involved sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals for evaluation.
Officials confirmed on January 16 that all the children hospitalized as a result of the crash have since been discharged. No additional updates regarding the adults’ conditions or the cause of the crash have been released by Bridgeport Police at this time.
Emergency crews responded swiftly to the scene and coordinated medical transport and traffic control in the heavily traveled intersection. The crash remains under investigation.
