Bronx, NY (January 16, 2026) – A 64-year-old man tragically lost his life in a scooter accident late on Friday morning in the Morris Park section of the Bronx. The incident occurred shortly before 11 a.m. near 1510 Waters Place, a busy stretch known for frequent traffic activity.
Emergency medical services responded promptly and found the man with a severe head injury. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial reports indicated that the victim had been struck by a vehicle. However, following further investigation, police confirmed that the man had been riding his scooter northbound through a two-way intersection when he lost control, swerved into traffic, and fell, striking his head.
