Buffalo, MN (January 17, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash involving injuries was reported Friday afternoon in Wright County, prompting emergency response from local agencies. The incident occurred at approximately 12:39 p.m. on January 16 at the intersection of County Road 35 and Highway 55 in Buffalo, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
First responders, including Buffalo Police Department and Allina Ambulance, arrived at the scene to assess and assist the drivers involved. The crash occurred when a 2010 Honda Accord and a 2002 Toyota Camry, both traveling eastbound on County Road 35, made contact near the Highway 55 junction.
Emergency crews treated 77-year-old Janette Frances Motis of Buffalo, who was driving the Toyota Camry. She sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Buffalo Hospital for further medical care. The other driver, 23-year-old Kelvin Omwoyo Obiri of Saint Michael, was operating the Honda Accord and was uninjured in the crash.
Neither vehicle’s airbags deployed, and both drivers were reportedly wearing seat belts at the time of the incident. Alcohol was not a contributing factor, and no citations have been issued as of this report.
