Buffalo, NY (September 9, 2025) – First responders, including paramedics, assessed and treated individuals hurt in a two-car accident that occurred early Monday morning near the intersection of Grant St and W Ferry St in Buffalo. The incident, initially reported as a property damage-only (PDO) crash, was later upgraded to an injury accident when one male individual began reporting injuries approximately 36 minutes after the initial call.

The full extent of the man’s injuries has not been disclosed, and no other injuries were reported at the time of the incident.
The crash created minor disruptions in the area during the morning hours as emergency personnel worked the scene. Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading up to the collision, including whether any delays in reporting injuries could impact the legal or medical response.
Our thoughts are with the injured individual and all those involved as they recover from the incident.
Delayed Injury Reports in Buffalo Traffic Accidents
It is not uncommon for injuries to be reported after some time has passed following a vehicle collision, especially in cases where the initial impact seems minor. In urban neighborhoods like the area around Grant St and W Ferry St, drivers and passengers may not immediately recognize the severity of their injuries due to adrenaline or shock.
Buffalo sees a significant number of two-car accidents each year, particularly at intersections in high-traffic corridors. The New York State DMV notes that many of these crashes lead to delayed injury reports, which can complicate insurance claims and emergency response efforts.
Residents are encouraged to seek medical evaluation after any accident, even if they do not feel symptoms immediately. Headaches, back pain, and soft tissue injuries often surface hours later and can become serious if left untreated.
Buffalo’s emergency services remain ready to respond even in cases of delayed injury acknowledgment. Drivers should remain cooperative and communicative following a crash to ensure accurate documentation and appropriate care.
