Butler County, AL (August 4, 2025) – A tragic early-morning crash on Interstate 65 has claimed the life of a Greenville man, according to officials with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). The fatal accident occurred near mile marker 132, just north of Greenville in Butler County.
The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Marcus A. McQueen. Authorities say McQueen sustained fatal injuries after his vehicle struck the rear of another vehicle on I-65. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the collision to assist with the scene and assess those involved. The occupants of the other vehicle have not yet been identified, and their conditions were not immediately released. The collision caused temporary delays as troopers from ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division began their investigation and cleared the area.
