Butler, PA (January 31, 2026) – A tragic multi-vehicle accident claimed one life Friday afternoon near the intersection of Airport Rd and Pittsburgh Rd in Butler County. The collision, which occurred around 12:50 p.m., involved a truck and a minivan and prompted a swift emergency response from local fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies.
First responders arrived quickly at the scene to assist those involved. A medical helicopter was initially requested due to the severity of the crash, but it was called off approximately 10 minutes later when it became clear that one individual had succumbed to their injuries. The Butler County Coroner’s Office was subsequently called to the scene to assist with the fatality.
At this time, the identities of those involved have not been publicly released, and the conditions of any additional individuals remain unknown. Both vehicles sustained significant damage, and the intersection was closed to traffic while emergency crews conducted their operations.
