Byron, CA (September 17, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to a serious two-vehicle accident in Byron on Monday evening that left one individual injured, according to a report from the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m. in the area of Byron Highway and Holway Dr, a rural stretch of road commonly traveled by both local residents and commuters. Authorities say two vehicles collided head-on under circumstances that have not yet been fully determined.
First responders from Contra Costa County Fire and local EMS arrived quickly and worked to assist the injured party. Paramedics transported the individual to a nearby hospital for treatment. The current condition of the patient has not been released.
Law enforcement remained on scene to assess the damage and begin their investigation into what led to the head-on collision. As of now, no additional details have been made public, and the cause remains under review.
