Caddo Parish, LA (January 16, 2026) – A two-vehicle accident involving an Audi SUV and a Chevy Malibu caused injuries and significant traffic delays on Wednesday morning near Wallace Lake Road in Shreveport.
The crash occurred around 10:40 a.m., and emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene to assist multiple injured individuals. According to reports, the driver of the Audi, described as a man in his 50s, may have briefly lost consciousness following the collision. The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage with all airbags deployed and significant fluid leakage, rendering it inoperable. A no-preference tow was later requested for the Audi SQ5.
The second driver, operating a Chevy Malibu, was also reportedly injured, complaining of head pain. Officials noted that the driver may not have been wearing a seatbelt and was tossed around inside the vehicle during the impact.
Fire and EMS units responded to provide medical care, and at least one private trauma ambulance was requested due to the nature of the injuries. Traffic in the area was backed up as far as Wallace Lake during the emergency response.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash.
