Caddo Parish, LA (January 16, 2026) – A 51-year-old woman sustained injuries on Wednesday morning after her vehicle was rear-ended while stopped at a traffic light near Greenwood Road in Shreveport.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and transported the woman to Willis-Knighton North Hospital for evaluation. She was reportedly wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and complained only of neck pain. Crews placed her in a cervical collar as a precaution during transport.
Despite the impact, airbags did not deploy, and the vehicle sustained only minor damage, primarily to the roof area. Her vital signs were stable en route, and she remained alert and responsive with a Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score of 15.
Authorities have not released further details about the other driver or the circumstances that led to the crash. The incident is under investigation.
