Caddo Parish, LA (January 16, 2026) – A serious motor vehicle accident involving a Brookdale bus and a Nissan Sentra left a woman trapped and injured on Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Mansfield Road and West 70th Street in Shreveport.
The crash was reported around 12:45 p.m., prompting a major emergency response from Engine 15, Medic 15, Rescue 9, and Battalion 4. According to dispatch communications, a female occupant was trapped inside the car following the collision and required extrication.
First responders worked quickly to free the woman and provide medical treatment at the scene. The extent of her injuries has not yet been publicly released. It remains unclear how many occupants were on the bus at the time of the crash or whether additional injuries occurred.
Traffic in the area was significantly impacted as emergency crews operated on Tac 1 and managed the scene throughout the afternoon.
