The drivers of the Lexus, a 48-year-old man from Columbia, and the Ford, a 28-year-old man from Fulton, were uninjured.

We hope for a smooth recovery for the injured driver following this accident.
Rear-End Collisions in Missouri
The crash on Rt. F highlights the risks associated with rear-end collisions, particularly when traffic slows unexpectedly. Even at moderate speeds, a driver’s failure to notice or respond in time can result in significant damage and injuries. In this case, one driver required hospital treatment, and three vehicles were damaged.
Callaway County’s roadways, especially rural stretches like Rt. F, often pose additional risks when debris, wildlife, or sudden obstacles appear. Drivers may not anticipate stopped traffic, increasing the chance of rear-end crashes. These incidents remain one of the most common types of collisions in Missouri.
Safe driving practices—such as maintaining adequate following distance, reducing speed in uncertain conditions, and staying attentive—are critical to preventing crashes like Monday’s. When visibility is limited or hazards are present, extra caution is necessary to protect all roadway users.
