Rear-End Collisions in Missouri
Rear-end crashes are among the most common types of vehicle collisions and can happen in an instant, often due to following too closely or failing to notice slowing traffic ahead. In Monday’s incident, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the Dodge Ram struck the back of the Ford F-150, resulting in significant vehicle damage and injury to the teen driver.
According to Missouri Department of Transportation statistics, rear-end collisions frequently lead to injuries such as whiplash, head trauma, and back strain. The risk of harm increases significantly when seat belts are not used, as was the case in this crash. Maintaining a safe following distance and remaining attentive to roadway conditions are key prevention measures.
Local Accident Reports encourages all drivers—especially young motorists—to buckle up every time they get behind the wheel and to keep a safe distance from the vehicle ahead.
