Carmichael, CA (September 15, 2025) – A Saturday night crash in Sacramento County’s Carmichael neighborhood left one person dead and three others hospitalized after a single-vehicle collision, according to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:50 PM on September 13 near the intersection of Dewey Dr and Winding Way. Authorities say four people were inside a vehicle when it crashed under circumstances that have not yet been made public.
Emergency crews responded swiftly to the scene and transported all three surviving occupants to a nearby hospital. One of the individuals was later pronounced deceased at the medical facility. The current condition of the other three injured victims has not been disclosed.
Officials have not confirmed what caused the crash, and it remains unclear whether speed, impairment, or mechanical failure played a role. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office and California Highway Patrol are conducting a joint investigation to determine the sequence of events.
