Cerritos, CA (September 15, 2025) – A traffic collision involving injuries was reported early Monday morning at the intersection of Carmenita Rd and Trumball St in Cerritos, prompting a medical and towing response. The incident occurred at approximately 6:27 a.m. and resulted in lane blockages in both directions.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved a white SUV and a gray Honda. The incident was upgraded from a “1183 – Unknown Injuries” to a “1179 – Collision with Ambulance En Route” after initial dispatch, confirming that emergency medical services were requested under Code 1141.
Responding units noted that both vehicles were not drivable and were blocking lanes in each direction. Two tow trucks were requested—one from Kenny’s Towing and another from Titan Tow—to assist in clearing the scene. The vehicles involved were reported as a Honda and a Mazda, though the original report mentioned a white SUV and gray Honda, suggesting that a third party may have provided additional clarification.
