Charlottesville, VA (September 16, 2025) – A motor vehicle collision with confirmed injuries occurred Monday afternoon at the intersection of Hydraulic Rd and Emmett St North in Charlottesville. The crash, which took place near the CF 14 Sprint store around 12:30 p.m., prompted a multi-unit emergency response from Albemarle County Fire and Rescue.
Engine 83, Rescue 15, and additional personnel from Station 8 were dispatched to the scene via Alpha TAC 2 radio channel. On arrival, first responders provided care to the injured and worked to manage the active crash site located in one of the city’s busiest retail and commuter corridors.
While authorities have not released the total number of vehicles involved, reports confirmed that at least one person was hurt and treated on scene. The collision occurred during peak midday traffic, creating delays for drivers navigating through the intersection and nearby shopping centers.
As of now, the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Crews remained on site to provide medical support, control traffic flow, and clear the roadway of any obstructions.
