Charlottesville, VA (September 19, 2025) – Emergency responders were quick to the scene, providing care to the injured victims following a major three-vehicle collision on the eastbound bypass near Barracks Rd and Emmet St N in Charlottesville. The crash occurred on Thursday, September 18, and resulted in multiple injuries, including at least one person who was found unresponsive at the scene.
Fire and rescue teams from Albemarle County, including Engine 1, Fire Medic 10, and Rescue 147, responded rapidly and confirmed that two of the vehicles had significant damage with airbags deployed. One patient was reported as unresponsive but not entrapped. Crews worked swiftly to stabilize the victims and transported at least one individual to the UVA Medical Center for further treatment.
