Chesapeake, VA (September 12, 2025) – A motor vehicle crash resulting in injuries was reported early Friday morning near the intersection of Backwoods Road and Johnson Lane in Chesapeake. Emergency crews from Northwest Engine 35 and Medic 33 were dispatched to the scene around 4:30 AM to provide aid to those involved.
The crash occurred in a quieter, more rural part of the city, where limited lighting and narrower roadways can increase the risk of early morning collisions. Although the exact number of individuals hurt has not been confirmed, dispatch communications verified that injuries were present and required medical attention.
Officials have not yet released details about the type or number of vehicles involved, and no statements have been made regarding the cause of the crash. Traffic in the area was minimally affected due to the hour and location, but the intersection was closely monitored during the emergency response.
An investigation is currently underway as responders work to determine the sequence of events that led to the accident. At this time, no additional information has been made available regarding citations or road hazards.
We extend our best wishes to those injured in this incident and thank the Chesapeake Fire personnel for their rapid and professional response.
