Chesapeake, VA (January 17, 2026) – A motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles was reported on January 16 near South Military Highway, just off Shell Road and Hamilton Bridge in Chesapeake.
The crash occurred around 11:33 a.m. and resulted in moderate vehicle damage, according to Engine 2, which arrived on scene alongside Medic 2. Emergency personnel immediately began assessing the occupants of the vehicles for injuries. At least one person was believed to be hurt, though the severity of injuries was not confirmed at the time of dispatch.
The accident took place in District 218 on the east side of the city, an area that typically sees steady traffic flow. Temporary delays were likely while emergency teams responded and cleared the roadway.
