Chicago, IL (January 17, 2026) – Emergency responders were called to the scene of a pedestrian-involved crash in downtown Chicago. The incident occurred at approximately 6:09 p.m. on January 16 near the intersection of South Plymouth Court and West Ida B. Wells Drive.
According to initial reports from dispatch, a female pedestrian was struck by a black hatchback sedan while walking near the intersection. Fire department personnel were dispatched immediately to provide emergency medical assistance.
The woman sustained injuries as a result of the collision, though the extent of those injuries has not yet been confirmed by officials. Responders worked quickly to stabilize her condition and prepare her for transport to a local medical facility.
