Citrus County, FL (January 2, 2025) – A tragic ATV crash in Citrus County on Wednesday afternoon resulted in one fatality and left another individual with life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred around 1 PM on North Pine Dr, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
Troopers reported that the ATV was traveling south on North Pine Dr when it swerved to avoid a motorbike heading north. The sudden maneuver caused the ATV to veer off the road, ejecting both the driver and passenger. As they landed, the motorbike struck both individuals, according to authorities.
The passenger of the ATV, a 38-year-old woman from Belleview, was pronounced dead at the scene. The ATV driver, a 35-year-old Belleview man, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The 16-year-old motorbike operator was uninjured.
