Courtland Twp, MN (January 17, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision on Highway 14 in Nicollet County left three people injured Friday morning in Courtland Township, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash occurred around 7:44 a.m. on January 16 at milepost 115. Authorities report that a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound on Hwy 14 when it collided head-on with a westbound 2024 Subaru Forester. Emergency responders from the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office, Courtland Fire Department, and Allina EMS were called to the scene to assist the injured.
Three occupants of the Chevrolet Silverado — a 30-year-old female driver, a 5-year-old male passenger, and a 40-year-old male passenger, all from New Ulm — sustained non-life-threatening injuries. All were transported to Mankato Mayo Hospital for treatment. Officials confirmed all occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. No airbags deployed in the Silverado.
The driver of the Subaru Forester, identified as a 21-year-old female from North Mankato, was reportedly uninjured. She was wearing a seat belt, and the airbags in her vehicle deployed properly. No impairment is suspected in connection with the crash.
The Minnesota State Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
