Rural Roadway Collisions in Berks County
Crashes on roads like Morgantown Rd in Cumru Township often involve vehicles running off the roadway due to curves, limited lighting, or sudden evasive maneuvers. When these accidents involve entrapment, the potential for serious injury rises significantly due to the time required to access and treat the victims.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, single-vehicle roadway departures in rural and semi-rural areas are among the most dangerous crash types, particularly when they result in rollovers or vehicles landing in ditches.
Drivers are urged to slow down on unfamiliar or winding roads, avoid distractions, and always wear seat belts. Such precautions are critical for reducing the severity of injuries in rural vehicle crashes.
