Danbury, CT (January 17, 2026) – A two-car accident with injuries occurred near Newtown Rd in Danbury on the morning of January 16, prompting a response from local fire and EMS units. The crash took place near the intersection with Whitney Ave and Lyon St, shortly before 9:50 a.m.
Engine 24 and Ambulance 2 were first dispatched to the scene, where they discovered two vehicles with minor injuries reported and vehicle fluids leaking onto the roadway. A request was quickly made for a second ambulance, A3, to assist with transporting multiple patients. First responders remained on site to evaluate the injured parties and manage cleanup efforts.
In addition to the crash, police were notified about a disabled vehicle blocking part of the roadway near Eagle Rd, potentially complicating traffic in the area. Emergency crews coordinated response efforts to stabilize the scene and ensure public safety during the incident.
