Delaware Co, OH (January 16, 2026) – A motor vehicle accident with injuries was reported early Friday morning at the intersection of State Route 521 and State Route 61 North in Delaware County.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene shortly before 1:00 a.m. after receiving reports of a crash involving at least one vehicle. First responders arrived and began assessing the scene, providing medical care to those injured. At least one individual required transport to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. The extent of injuries has not yet been confirmed.
The intersection was partially blocked as deputies and EMS worked to assist the victims and remove the damaged vehicles. Given the rural layout of the area and limited lighting conditions, crews took extra precautions to ensure safety throughout the response.
The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation and reviewing factors such as roadway conditions, speed, and visibility at the time of the collision.
