Dothan, AL (August 7, 2025) – A man was critically injured in a house fire Wednesday after Dothan emergency crews conducted a high-risk rescue operation at a residence on Shirley St.
According to reports from Dothan 911 and on-scene responders, multiple units from Dothan Fire, Dothan Police, and Pilcher Ambulance were dispatched to the scene of a structure fire at 725 Shirley St. Upon arrival, crews received confirmation that the home was occupied. Firefighters immediately initiated what they described as an “offensive–rescue attack,” prioritizing life-saving efforts while entering the burning residence.
During the aggressive search, firefighters located a male resident inside the structure.
