Dry Branch, WV (January 17, 2026) – A crash with reported injuries occurred on Interstate 77 South near mile marker 81 in the Dry Branch area on January 15. Emergency units were dispatched to the scene at approximately 12:30 p.m. following reports of a collision affecting southbound traffic.
Responders arrived to find at least one individual injured in the crash. EMS crews provided on-site care and assessed the need for hospital transport. The number of vehicles involved and the full extent of injuries have not yet been made public.
Traffic along I-77 South was impacted as authorities worked to clear the scene and assist those involved. The location of the crash, along a busy stretch of highway, required careful traffic management by first responders to ensure safety.
