Dunklin, MO (January 11, 2026) – Two women were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon on Route AC, about two miles south of Cardwell in Dunklin County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The collision happened around 3:15 p.m. when a westbound 2006 Chevrolet HHR pulled into the path of a southbound 2016 Chevrolet Cruze. The resulting impact caused extensive damage to both vehicles. Red Line Towing and Rudi’s responded to the scene to remove the wreckage.
The HHR was occupied by a 25-year-old female driver and a 53-year-old female passenger, both from Paragould, AR. The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould. The passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, also suffered injuries and was transported by EMS to the same hospital for treatment.
The 21-year-old male driver of the Cruze, from Minala, AR, was properly restrained and did not report any injuries at the scene.
CPL. B.W. Emerson led the investigation, with the Missouri State Highway Patrol confirming that the crash occurred when the HHR failed to yield, entering the path of the oncoming Cruze. The incident remains under review.
We send our well wishes to the injured individuals and hope for a full and swift recovery.
