El Dorado County, CA (September 23, 2025) – A man was killed Saturday afternoon in a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck on Highway 49 near Rattlesnake Bar Rd, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision occurred around 5:00 p.m.
Preliminary reports indicate that the motorcyclist collided with a Ford pickup under circumstances that remain under investigation. Emergency responders arrived on the scene and transported the injured motorcyclist to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, the rider was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured and remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased, pending notification of family. No additional details have been made available as the investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
