Evansville, IN (January 16, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a reported injury crash near the intersection of W Franklin St and N 8th Ave on January 15, after an alert system indicated a possible collision in the area.
The initial call referenced a location near the 1700 block of West Franklin St, though responding units later focused on the vicinity of Franklin and Eighth. Despite an automated crash detection notification and dispatch to the scene, officers were unable to immediately locate any vehicles or individuals involved upon arrival.
Emergency traffic was coordinated on fire ground channels, and additional units were assigned to assist in searching the surrounding area. It remains unclear whether the alert was triggered by an unreported or self-resolved incident.
Authorities have not confirmed any hospital transports, and no further information has been released regarding the individuals possibly involved.
