Farmington, MO (January 31, 2026) – A serious single-vehicle accident on January 29 along Hwy AA in St. Francois County left a woman with critical injuries and a man with minor wounds, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. when a 2007 Hyundai Elantra, traveling southbound, veered off the north edge of the roadway and overturned. The driver, a 44-year-old man from Farmington, was not wearing a safety device and sustained minor injuries. He was transported by troopers to Parkland Health Center in Farmington for evaluation.
A 36-year-old female passenger, who was properly restrained, suffered serious injuries during the rollover. Emergency crews called in a life flight, and she was airlifted to Mercy Hospital South for urgent medical care.
The vehicle sustained total damage and was towed from the scene by Marlers. The cause of the vehicle leaving the roadway remains under investigation by authorities.
