Faulkner County, AR (September 1, 2025) – A 57-year-old man from Jacksonville was killed Saturday afternoon in a rear-end collision on US Highway 64 in rural Faulkner County. The crash occurred around 3:50 p.m. on August 30 near the intersection with Rooster Rd, according to a report from the Arkansas State Police.
Authorities stated that a 2010 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was stopped at the intersection when it was struck from behind by a 2019 Chevrolet traveling eastbound. The impact fatally injured the motorcyclist, identified as Michael W. Lucas, 57, of Jacksonville. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was taken to the Faulkner County Coroner’s Office.
No other injuries were reported in the collision. The Arkansas State Police are investigating the incident to determine contributing factors.
