Hit-and-Run Fatalities on South Carolina Highways
Incidents like this one highlight the dangers of interstate travel, particularly when vehicles are disabled along road shoulders. High-speed traffic, visibility challenges, and driver inattention can turn roadside stops into fatal scenarios.
According to the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, hit-and-run collisions are a growing concern on state highways. When drivers fail to remain at the scene, it complicates emergency response efforts and impedes justice for victims.
Victims and families affected by fatal collisions should take steps to preserve evidence, stay informed of investigative updates, and explore available legal options for accountability and compensation. The emotional and financial toll of such tragedies can be immense, and support is often essential.
