Forest Park, GA (July 18, 2025) – A police officer from Forest Park was hospitalized Thursday afternoon following a crash with a dump truck at the intersection of Forest Pkwy and Ash St. The incident occurred at approximately 1:31 p.m. and is under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
Emergency responders were quick to the scene, providing care to the injured victims. According to investigators, the officer was traveling eastbound on Forest Pkwy and attempted to make a left turn onto Ash St when the crash occurred. A waste management dump truck, traveling westbound, struck the passenger side of the patrol car during the maneuver.
Both the officer and the truck driver were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
