Fort Worth, TX (January 4, 2025) – A tragic wrong-way collision occurred Friday morning on Highway 183 near Amon Carter Blvd, resulting in the death of a 69-year-old man and injuries to another driver. Emergency responders, including the Fort Worth Fire Department, Fort Worth Police Department, and MedStar EMS, were dispatched to the scene at approximately 10:45 a.m.
When crews arrived, they found a sedan with major damage and a pickup truck engulfed in flames. The 69-year-old Euless man, who was driving in the wrong direction, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Bystanders managed to pull the female driver of the pickup truck from the vehicle before the fire took over. She was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
