Fresno, CA (September 23, 2025) – A tragic collision in Southwest Fresno claimed the life of 10-year-old Corday Brown on Sunday evening. The incident occurred as the child was crossing Golden State Blvd near the entrance to State Route 99 when he was struck by a southbound vehicle.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and provided immediate care before transporting the young boy to a nearby hospital. Despite life-saving efforts, Brown was pronounced dead at the medical facility.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and fully cooperated with authorities during the initial investigation. According to statements released by the California Highway Patrol and Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, impairment is not believed to have played a role in the crash.
The CHP is continuing its investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
