Garland, TX (August 13, 2025) – A deadly collision early Wednesday morning has led to the arrest of one individual on serious charges following a high-speed crash at the intersection of North Garland Ave and Kingsley Rd. The crash occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m. and claimed the life of one person while injuring another.
According to the Garland Police Department, a speeding SUV traveling along North Garland Ave struck a second vehicle in the intersection. The impact proved fatal for the occupant of the car that was hit. The SUV’s passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Due to the severity of the incident and subsequent investigation, the intersection remains closed and is expected to be shut down for an extended period.
