Gates, NY (January 16, 2026) – Emergency crews responded on Thursday to a serious motor vehicle accident on Route 531 westbound at Manitou Rd in Gates, where individuals were reported trapped inside a vehicle.
Firefighters, medics, and law enforcement rushed to the scene and began immediate rescue operations. At least one person was extricated from the wreckage using specialized equipment, while medical personnel provided care to the injured on site.
