Gower, MO (August 15, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash that resulted in injuries on Thursday afternoon, August 15, in Clinton County. The accident occurred around 1:32 p.m. at the intersection of Missouri Route 116 and 145th Rd, roughly four miles south of Gower.

During the maneuver, the vehicle was struck by a westbound 2019 Kenworth 310 commercial truck. The force of the impact caused the Ford Edge to come to rest facing westbound in the northbound lane of MO-116, while the Kenworth stopped facing southbound on 145th Rd.
The Ford’s driver, a 70-year-old man from St. Joseph, sustained minor injuries, while his 20-year-old passenger from King City suffered moderate injuries. The truck driver, a 36-year-old man from Jamsport, was reportedly uninjured and was able to drive his vehicle from the scene.
Troopers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol are actively investigating the crash to determine whether any further contributing factors played a role in the collision. No citations have been issued at this time.
