Intersection Safety in Roseau County: Key Considerations
Accidents at busy intersections, such as the one between Highway 11 and Highway 32, often occur when drivers fail to yield the right of way or misjudge oncoming traffic. In this case, the left-hand turn made by the driver of the Ford F150 resulted in a collision with the oncoming Mercury Grand Marquis. Even with dry road conditions, turning across traffic lanes requires extra caution to ensure that all vehicles are at a safe distance.
Both drivers and passengers in this incident were wearing seat belts, which significantly contributed to preventing more severe injuries. Local authorities continue to encourage all road users to follow traffic rules and be cautious at intersections, especially when making turns across lanes of traffic.
