Hayward, CA (February 17, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash resulted in injuries late Sunday night on SR-84 East, just west of the toll plaza, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The accident was reported at approximately 11:34 p.m. and involved a minivan and a second vehicle. Initial reports indicated that the minivan was partially blocking a lane, and a male occupant in a wheelchair was trapped inside due to smashed doors.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and worked to assist the injured individual. The severity of the injuries has not yet been disclosed.
Authorities called for a tow service, and by 1:27 a.m., the vehicle had been removed from the roadway. CHP continues to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash.
