Hayward, CA (September 19, 2025) – At least one person was injured Thursday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash on southbound I-880 near Stevenson Blvd in Hayward, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision occurred at approximately 1:10 p.m. and involved at least two vehicles.
A gray Jeep and a sedan were identified at the scene, but officials have not yet confirmed what led to the crash. Emergency crews arrived shortly after the incident was reported to provide medical assistance and assess roadway hazards.
One person was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
Traffic may have been slowed in the area while responders cleared the vehicles and ensured the scene was safe for other motorists. CHP is continuing to investigate the cause of the collision.
