Motorcycle Collisions in Virginia
Motorcycle accidents, particularly those involving passenger vehicles, often result in severe injuries due to the rider’s exposure and lack of protective barriers. Intersections like Panorama Dr and River Rd can be especially dangerous for motorcyclists if drivers fail to yield, misjudge speed, or overlook smaller vehicles in their path.
Virginia traffic safety officials stress the importance of motorists checking twice for motorcycles before turning or merging and encourage riders to wear full protective gear at all times. Increased visibility and defensive riding can also help reduce the risk of serious crashes.
