Winter Road Hazards in Michigan
Michigan winters often bring hazardous driving conditions, with icy roads and strong winds contributing to numerous crashes each year. Semi-trucks, due to their size and weight, are particularly vulnerable to losing control in poor weather. Incidents like the one on Unionville Rd highlight the importance of extra caution during winter months.
Drivers are encouraged to reduce speed, maintain a safe following distance, and remain vigilant for changing road conditions. While efforts by road maintenance crews help mitigate risks, sudden weather changes can still create dangerous situations for motorists.
