Indianapolis, IN (January 16, 2026) – Authorities responded to reports of a personal injury hit-and-run at the intersection of North Dearborn Street and East 30th Street on January 15. The collision involved two gray vehicles, a Nissan Sentra and a Hyundai, with one vehicle reportedly leaving the scene before responders arrived.
EMS crews treated the injured party for a variety of injuries, stabilizing the individual on-site and arranging transport to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. Police officers assisted by securing the intersection, directing traffic, and beginning an investigation to locate the vehicle that fled.
Witnesses at the scene provided statements to help authorities reconstruct the events leading up to the collision. Emergency personnel also worked to clear debris and ensure the roadway was safe for motorists once the immediate response concluded.
Investigators continue to review vehicle movements and roadway conditions while actively searching for the driver of the hit-and-run vehicle.
