Indianapolis, IN (January 31, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash with reported injuries occurred near the intersection of Ditch Rd and W 83rd St on the north side of Indianapolis. The collision was reported around 5:10 PM and involved a silver sedan and a blue sedan in the southbound lanes of Ditch Rd, just south of 83rd St.
Emergency crews, including EMS and law enforcement, responded promptly to the scene. First responders found at least one individual injured and still inside one of the vehicles, described as a silver Ford Focus. The occupant appeared disoriented and was evaluated by medics on site. A DUI investigation was initiated due to the driver’s behavior, and additional DUI-trained officers were requested to assist.
The second vehicle involved was identified as a blue Honda Accord. Both cars sustained damage and were scheduled for removal by tow services as the investigation continued.
Traffic was impacted in the area during the evening commute as authorities worked to secure the scene, assess injuries, and initiate their investigation. No arrests have been confirmed at this time, and the number of injured individuals has not been officially released.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, including impairment as a possible contributing factor.
