Indianapolis, IN (January 17, 2026) – A motorcycle crash left a young man seriously injured near Eskenazi Avenue, prompting a rapid emergency medical response and hospital transport.
The incident occurred around 8:47 p.m. on January 15. According to emergency radio reports, a male estimated to be in his early 20s was thrown from his motorcycle during the crash. The exact speed at the time of the incident is unknown.
Paramedics arriving on scene reported the rider had a Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score of 9, indicating decreased responsiveness. He suffered an open fracture to the right humerus, which was splinted on-site, and was found with abrasions across multiple areas of his body.
Medical personnel noted the patient had a blood pressure of 92/57, was breathing adequately on room air at 97% oxygen saturation, and presented with a sinus rhythm of 80 bpm. The man was transported to a nearby trauma center for advanced treatment and evaluation.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and authorities have not released the identity of the rider or whether other vehicles were involved.
