Indianapolis, IN (January 31, 2026) – Emergency responders were dispatched Friday night to a serious vehicle crash that left two individuals injured near Eskenazi Avenue in Indianapolis.
The collision occurred at approximately 8:18 p.m. on January 30. According to hospital dispatch audio, the crash involved a 53-year-old female driver and a 45-year-old male passenger, both of whom were transported to the hospital for treatment. The female driver was listed as a trauma alert.
Paramedics reported that the driver was restrained at the time of the crash, with all airbags deployed and significant intrusion into the passenger compartment. She was experiencing low blood pressure and a right ankle deformity and showed signs of intoxication. Her condition was being closely monitored en route, with fluids administered and vital signs indicating a heart rate of 90 and oxygen saturation at 98%.
The male passenger also sustained injuries, primarily shoulder and chest pain, with noticeable windshield damage on his side of the vehicle. He remained conscious and alert, but also showed signs of alcohol involvement. His vitals included a blood pressure of 150/120 and a heart rate of 120.
Emergency teams provided rapid transport for both patients to Eskenazi Hospital. The exact cause of the crash and whether additional vehicles were involved has not been confirmed. The incident is under investigation by local law enforcement.
